No. The Westbridge meter app works completely without registration or user account. It can be used immediately after downloading - no registration, no password, no personal data. Simply open it, select the meter or enter the meter number and start.

The app replaces the manual effort with a clipboard, Excel or slips of paper. Open the app and scan the meter. The reading is recorded and transmitted digitally with just a few clicks. The reading usually takes less than a minute per meter.

Only technical measurement data is transmitted:

• Meter number
• meter reading
• Optionally a photo of the meter for documentation purposes
• Time stamp of the recording
• Rough geo-coordinates of the recording location
  The geo-coordinates are only used to prove that the meter reading actually took place on site. No exact location data and no personal information is collected.

Yes, all data is transmitted in encrypted form (SSL/TLS) and stored on secure servers. The geo-coordinates are only used in anonymized form to comply with legal obligations to provide evidence. Personal user data is neither collected nor stored. Westbridge fulfills all data protection requirements according to GDPR.

Use of the Westbridge meter app is completely free of charge for all Westbridge customers and their appointed janitors, facility managers or service providers. There are no license or usage costs. The aim is to digitize the annual meter reading and significantly reduce the effort involved.

Yes, the app also works without an internet connection. Meter readings can be recorded offline - in the basement or utility room, for example. The data is transferred automatically as soon as a connection is re-established. This means that the process remains reliable and flexible even when network coverage is limited.
