Westbridge Structures Green Power Supply for Skanska in Poland

Westbridge Poland Sp. z o.o. (Westbridge Poland), the Polish subsidiary of the Westbridge Group, assisted Skanska Commercial Development Europe Sp. z o.o. (Skanska) in procuring electricity from renewable energy sources for two office properties in Poland. As part of a structured bidding and award process, the electricity supply for the Wave office development in Gdańsk and the Brama Miasta office development in Łódź was re-contracted for the 2027 supply year.

Going forward, Skanska will rely on a reliable and sustainable energy supply of green electricity for both properties. The total electricity volume managed amounts to approximately 3.25 gigawatt-hours and encompasses a total of four supply points. The properties will be supplied with electricity via a fixed-price model, which enables reliable budget planning. In addition, the supply is backed by certificates of origin from national renewable energy sources.

For Skanska, the procurement of sustainable electricity is another building block of its own sustainability strategy for ongoing building operations. In addition to the supply of renewable energy, the focus was particularly on favorable economic terms, transparency, and planning certainty.

Westbridge Poland supported the entire process, from market analysis and the solicitation of bids from suitable energy suppliers to the evaluation of proposals and final contract negotiations. Following a competitive bidding process, a single energy supplier was selected for both properties.
