Westbridge Secures Approximately 4.4 Gigawatt-Hours of Green Electricity for the Bartók Ház in Budapest

Westbridge Poland Sp. z o.o. (Westbridge Poland), the Polish subsidiary of the Westbridge Group, advised TriGranit on the procurement of electricity from renewable energy sources for the Bartók Ház office building in Budapest. The mandate covers electricity supply for the delivery years 2027 and 2028 and underscores Westbridge Poland’s growing commitment to supporting commercial real estate clients in Central and Eastern Europe.

The newly signed supply contract covers approximately 2.22 gigawatt-hours of electricity per year, or about 4.4 gigawatt-hours over the two-year contract term. The agreement covers two supply points and is based on a fixed-price model, which provides greater planning certainty for the building’s ongoing operating costs. The electricity supply is backed by certificates of origin from national renewable energy sources. In addition to greater cost transparency, financial savings of more than 53,000 euros are expected over the two-year contract term compared to the previous procurement model.

The procurement of renewable electricity with certificates of origin will also help reduce CO₂ emissions by approximately 1,458 metric tons over the term of the contract. This is achieved by promoting electricity generation from renewable energy sources and reducing the carbon footprint associated with the building’s electricity consumption.

For TriGranit, the agreement supports the sustainable operation of the Bartók Ház office building while also improving transparency and predictability in energy procurement. The goal of the mandate was to secure a supply of renewable electricity on economically attractive terms and to reduce dependence on market price fluctuations.

“With the new electricity supply for Bartók Ház, we are strengthening the property’s sustainability profile and creating a reliable foundation for planning energy costs. This is an important component of efficient and forward-looking asset management, which we carry out on behalf of the building owner, DRFG Investment Group,” says Marta Zawadzka, Head of Leasing & Asset Management at TriGranit.

Anna Nienaltowska, Head of Sales Poland at Westbridge Poland, adds: “Property owners in Central and Eastern Europe are increasingly seeking energy solutions that combine renewable electricity with high cost certainty. For TriGranit, we have developed a procurement structure that supports both sustainable building operations and reliable energy cost planning.”

Westbridge Poland was responsible for the entire procurement process, including market analysis, the bidding process, commercial evaluation, and contract negotiations. A suitable electricity supplier for the property was selected through a competitive selection process.
