Westbridge Appoints Dr. Marius Schumacher as Chief Operating Officer

Westbridge, one of Europe’s leading energy and sustainability consulting firms for the real estate industry, has appointed Dr. Marius Schumacher as Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective October 1, 2026. In his new role, Dr. Schumacher will join the C-suite of the Westbridge Group.

As COO, Dr. Schumacher will be responsible for developing and managing the Group’s core operational structures and processes. The focus will be on strengthening project management, digitizing internal processes, and expanding the operational infrastructure. The goal is to further integrate structures and processes across business units and position the organization for continued growth.

He brings the experience needed to drive this development forward.”

Before joining Westbridge in July 2025, Dr. Schumacher had been with McKinsey & Company since 2019, most recently as an associate partner. He earned his Ph.D. in production engineering from RWTH Aachen University, where he had previously completed his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in energy engineering. He gained international experience at the University of California, Berkeley, among other places.
