Westbridge helps Arminius switch to 100 percent green electricity
Westbridge Advisory GmbH (Westbridge), one of the leading energy and sustainability consultants for real estate clients in Europe, has retendered and optimized the electricity contracts for a sub-portfolio of Arminius.
From the end of the year, the sub-portfolio will be gradually converted to 100 percent green electricity. This will enable the company to reduce its costs and make building operations more climate-friendly in the long term. By the end of 2029, around 1,560 tons of CO₂ can be avoided.
The basis for this was a tendering process accompanied by Westbridge, in which the existing electricity contracts were reviewed on the market side and restructured. The new procurement strategy creates tangible cost benefits and at the same time strengthens Arminius' sustainability goals. The additional purchase of green electricity from German plants lays the foundation for a sustainable energy supply.
"The current market situation calls for procurement strategies that combine economic stability and sustainability goals," says Christopher Feliks, Managing Director at Westbridge. "Especially for existing portfolios, professionally structured tenders can achieve measurable added value - both in terms of energy costs and the carbon footprint."
Christian Molter, Managing Partner at Arminius: "By optimizing our electricity contracts and gradually switching to 100% green electricity, we are using another concrete lever for more sustainable real estate operations. In this way, we are creating a solution that combines ecological impact with economic rationality - in the interests of our tenants and the environment."
