On behalf of HIH Invest Real Estate GmbH (HIH Invest), the Frankfurt-based ESG expert Westbridge Advisory / Argentus / Agradblue (Westbridge) has holistically repositioned a real estate portfolio comprising around 1,200,000 m² of rental space in the metering and billing services sector. The optimized portfolio consists of around 120 properties from the commercial segment and is distributed throughout Germany, mainly in A and B cities. From now on, HIH Invest will benefit from portal solutions provided by new partners, to which a standardized and automated data interface to HIH Invest's internal ESG database will be created. This contributes significantly to a better digitalization of the properties.
As part of the mandate, an individual roadmap tailored to the company was developed for HIH Invest for this purpose, which on the one hand enables economic implementation in line with the current state of the art and on the other hand makes a significant contribution to the digitalization and sustainability strategy of the Hamburg-based investment manager. On this basis, a Germany-wide and multi-stage tender was carried out. After the technical inspection of the portfolio and analysis of the existing metering and energy infrastructure, the new partners will ensure legally compliant heating cost billing - in addition, a conversion to remotely readable metering technology will be carried out.
Simon Szpyrka, Managing Director at Westbridge, says: "We are pleased that HIH Invest has placed its trust in us and that we have been able to identify suitable partners in the market to optimize the metering services. Through this, we are helping HIH Invest to improve the sustainability performance of its properties in the short and medium term."
Dennis Schreml, Head of Metering and Project Manager at Westbridge adds, "Bringing together individual sustainability requests with custom-fit, digital solutions - that is our core business in ESG consulting. Together, we have succeeded in ensuring that HIH Invest can continue on its path towards sustainability by optimizing its metering services."
Manuela Strauß, ESG project manager at HIH Real Estate, emphasizes, "Thanks to the new setup and the transparency gained in energy consumption, we can work together with users to make targeted savings in consumption and thus contribute to climate protection. The offer thus fits perfectly into the sustainability strategy of the HIH Group."
