Energy purchasing: Westbridge saves more than 500,000 euros for FLE

Westbridge Advisory International AG - the pan-European arm of leading ESG specialist Westbridge - has advised Vienna-based investment advisor FLE on the redesign of the energy supply contracts for its real estate portfolio in Poland. The properties of the company, which focuses on office and commercial real estate, are all supplied with green electricity and are located in Wroclaw, Krakow, Szczecin and Warsaw.

The 85,000 m² portfolio consists of seven properties with a total of 22 electricity meters and will be supplied by the new energy supplier selected in a tender process from 2025. The total amount of electricity will be around 8.7 million kWh. The new energy supplier is ESV S.A. from Tschechnitz. By optimizing electricity purchasing, Westbridge is helping FLE to reduce total electricity costs for tenants by around EUR 530,000.

"Whether in Germany or abroad - our range of energy purchasing services extends across Europe for our customers. As an existing customer, FLE will benefit from both lower costs and reduced carbon dioxide emissions for its Polish portfolio following the conclusion of our tendering activities," says Hajo Engelke, Managing Director of Westbridge Advisory International AG. ESG specialist Westbridge has been working for FLE since 2016 and has since successfully completed several projects in the areas of energy procurement, smart metering and ESG consulting, including in Germany, Austria, Hungary and Poland.

Bernadett Pauer, Head of Asset Management at FLE, adds: "From the perspective of our asset management, we define the saving of operating costs as a decisive factor for the long-term success of our investments. Through efficient cost management, we can not only maximize the return for our investors, but also reduce the environmental impact and thus increase the value of our properties." FLE currently has assets under management with a value of around 1.1 billion euros.
